"How many times do I have to remind you, he's almost lost the plot several occasions." Lauren was serious on the subject of Newt. "His screws are lose, Needy." Lauren hugged her books.

Things were lovely with Josh. Now that was her bloke even if she had to keep him under wraps due to the slight age difference. Honestly, it wasn't that big of deal. Wasn't he just all of 20? She was 17. Lauren  thought Josh liked the idea of secrets. Well, what ever worked. The fucking was bloody well worth it. This is what she wanted to talk about, but she couldn't. It was on the tip of her tongue, and she had to listen to Anita rave about her Newt. Well, he didn't sound perfect, after all.

She smiled then to Anita who looked as if a bomb had hit her love for Newt. Right in the heart. Lauren didn't mind that at all. Honestly, she couldn't stand the two together. It was sickening. She saw it coming, long before the two did anything about it.

Anita would get all flirty around him. The way she pursed her lips, and he'd just stand there taking it all in like he was the prince of the gypsies waiting for a spell to be broken.

"He's being shitty." Anita scowled.

"Yeah, have you met a bloke that wasn't?" Lauren scowled back as they walked home in the cold from school. "You have to just go out there and make yourself damn happy, Needy. You need no one but yourself for that." Lauren's lips puckered.

"What do you mean?" Anita winced.

"Battery operated." Lauren gave her a silly look. Would she have to look in her undie drawer for something that Anita could borrow? She didn't have time for this. Josh was all she could think of.

"Batteries?" Anita just didn't get it.

"Do I have to spell everything out for you?" Lauren winced. She was really beginning to despise school girls. All she wanted was Josh to do her. But she supposed she'd have to do him first. Honestly, she had her own needs to worry about. Anita would think of something. Lauren sighed and walked on.
